After last week's extra long column, here's a short one. Nothing exciting has happened involving Doctor Who scheduling in the last week - nothing that I am able to write about, anyway. |

Strike that. It appears that the Paul McGann movie will rerun in New Zealand on Saturday, July 3rd at 9PM. It has been tagged with an 'adults only' rating. If that movie got adults only, I can only guess that Red Dwarf over there gets 'adults only with a five day waiting period to get a permit to descramble the signal'. Still, they are rerunning the story. |

Over the weekend, the 4th Doctor, Romana, K9, and Adric find their way to a gateway that can return them to normal space. First, they have a slave ship and a collapsing reality to deal with. On Monday, the Cyberleader orders Tegan's death if the 5th Doctor does not do exactly what the Cybermen want - watch helplessly as Earth is destroyed. Around the mid-week, the Daleks locate their forgotten creator - Davros - in the hopes that he can find a cure for a fatal disease. Unknown to them, someone is planning to betray them. The week ends with the second portion of the 6th Doctor's trial, where the Valeyard replays the adventure where the Doctor's erratic behaviour forced the Time Lords to take him out of time. |

The beacon takes on prime importance when it turns out that the asteroid is almost pure gold, the perfect weapon against the Cybermen. And the Cybermen are determined that no one will ever get the chance to use that asteroid. ยป The channel realised the running order was wrong and switched this to Genesis of the Daleks instead. However, due to an oversight in the length, the end got chopped off! The last two parts were instead shown the following week before Revenge of the Cybermen. |
